Hello! My name is Lisa Reed. I was born and raised right here in St. Joseph. I attended Eugene Field Elementary, Bode Middle School and Central High School. I graduated from Missouri Western with a B.S. in Elementary Education and an emphasis in early childhood. I have taught at Coleman, Humboldt and now Ellison. I have taught all grade levels K-3. I really enjoy teaching the primary grade levels.
I love to spend time with my family. My husband, Ed, and I have three children. Lauren is 28 and is an elementary teacher, too! She teaches 2nd grade at Eugene Field Elementary. Tyler is 21 and is a junior at Missouri Western State University. Austin is 19 and is studying to be an electrical lineman. When we have some spare time, we enjoy going to the lake, swimming and going to football games. We also enjoy taking family vacations to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
We have two dogs that are part of our family, too! Murphy is a big ol' golden retriever. He is 13 years old and needs to lose a few pounds (don't we all?) :) Macey is a 2 year old AussiePom and is full of spunk! They are best buds and a big part of our family.
I LOVE collecting Mickey Mouse items. I can't even imagine how many things I have accumulated over the 21 years I have been adding to my collection. It seems like I can find Mickey Mouse things wherever I go! I can't pass up anything with his cute face on it!
I love teaching and am always excited to see my students' bright, shining faces each morning. I can't imagine doing anything else with my life. Teaching is my passion.
